Health systems are an important determinant of health, as well as health inequalities. OPIK has carried out, in collaboration with social entities such as Medicusmundi, different research and dissemination actions in order to analyze and disseminate the importance and characteristics of health systems. The main interest has focused on the health context of the Autonomous Community of Euskadi, but the focus has also been placed from a global perspective on other contexts such as Latin America. The areas of study have been mainly two. On the one hand, inequalities in access to health care, and, on the other, the processes of privatization of health systems.
