Dr. Stefania Pellegrini

Biography
Stefy is an Italian-Argentinian Researcher developing her career in the area of physiology, welfare and behaviour, later expanding the scope of knowledge towards food, plant science and technology. She has been a biologist since 2011 (National University of Cordoba, UNC, Argentina). She completed her Ph.D. at the Faculty of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences (FCEFyN, Argentina), being granted a scholarship from the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and mentored by Senior Researchers Prof. Raul Marin and Guzmán Diego A. She started her first postdoc mentored by prof. Valeria Nepote and Rubén N. Grosso at the Multidisciplinary Institute of Plant Biology (IMBIV - CONICET) in 2019. In 2020 she was invited as an Associate to the Department of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the Faculty of Pharmacy (UPV-EHU, Basque Country, Spain), where she continued her line of postdoctoral research, supervised by Prof. Ana Isabel Nájera and Marta Albisu. She did his second postdoc at NEIKER in 2022 mentored by the Ikerbasque Prof. Inma Estevez. Lastly, she has experience in human resources supervision (MSc students and research interns). Stefy joined the Microfluidics Cluster UPV/EHU in 2023.
Research
Stefania is developing her research in the area of microfludic paper devices for the analysis of stress biomarkers in plants.
