Dr. Sepideh Izaddoust
(Basque Government & Elkartek)
Biography
I received my BSc in Applied Chemistry at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad/Iran. Following that, I joined the SERP-Chem Erasmus Mundus master course. In 2014, I graduated in Material Science and Engineering with qualifications in Nanoscience and Catalysis from the universities of Genova/Italy and Photochemistry from Adama Mickiewicza of Poznan/Poland and Paris-SUD 11. I did my PhD in chemical engineering, mainly focusing on the deactivation of heterogeneous catalysts applied in the catalytic cracking of heavy fuel oils and the Oligomerization of light olefins at the University of Basque Country, Spain. I successfully developed new analysis techniques in order to monitor the catalyst's kinetic performance at variable operational conditions to optimize the reaction outputs and catalyst lifetime, which is crucial industrial-wise. In 2023 I joined the Microfluidics Cluster UPV/EHU.
Research
Currently, I am involved in the OnBody project, investigating the new biomedical sensorization systems towards digital health as a postdoctoral researcher.
