This work provides a new concept for fluid flow manipulation in μPADs by introducing ionogel materials as passive pumps. Two types of ionogels, with different chemical and physical properties, were drop-casted at the inlet of the μPADs generating distinctive liquid flow profiles when compared to the bared paper.
