Biography

Miguel Ortega is studying Chemistry at the Basque Country University (UPV/EHU). He has worked at La Rioja Alta S.A.as enology analyst, where he learnt about gas chromatography, mass spectometry and other important analysis techniques using during the wine-making-procces.

This year he is finishing his degree in Chemistry and he is working on his final degree project at the Microfluidics Cluster UPV/EHU group.

Research

Miguel is working on the functionalisation of gold surface with sensing moieties for PRET analysis by optical fibers.
