- Description:
In recent years, the use of small devices known as lab-on-a-chips or point-of-care (POC) devices has increased. Compared to other external transducers and pumping systems that normally occupy large spaces, paper-based microfluidic devices offer capability to produce disposable, cost-effective, portable and simple chips. LFAs offer rapidity and one step analysis, low operational cost, simple instrumentation, user friendly format, high specificity, better sensitivity and portability of the device are unique advantages related to LFA strips.
