- Description:
The objective of this project was to develop paper-based microfluidic devices adaptable to nightlife objects for rape-drug detection based on colorimetric reactions. For the detection of benzodiazepines, it has been used the Scott’s reaction, which consists in a complex reaction with Cobalt (II) thiocyanate in an acid medium, being the color change to pink for the negative result and blue for the positive result. And for the detection of ketamine, it has been used the Morris’ reaction, which consists in a complex reaction with Cobalt (II) thiocyanate in basic medium , being no color change for the negative result and for the positive result, a blue color appears.
