Guadalupe Rivero, PhD in Pharmacy (year 2008) by UPV/EHU, has accumulated postdoctoral experience in both academia and industry: University of Bristol, UK (27 months); Omnia Molecular SL, Barcelona (23 months); Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya, Barcelona (9 months) and UPV/EHU, Leioa (27 months). Since 2016 she is Assistant professor (Profesora Adjunta) in the Department of Pharmacology. Her area of expertise is Neuropsychopharmacology and Neurobiology of mental disorders. She is trained in protein and gene expression studies, genotyping, chromatin immunoprecipitation, cell culture, radioligand binding and image techniques. Most of her research activity has been carried out with samples of postmortem human brain. During her postdoctoral period in the UK she performed FRET studies with application to the field of functional selectivity of GPCRs. Since her reincorporation in the Neuropsychopharmacology group she is in charge of epigenetic studies
She has authored 14 articles, 10 in first quartile, and 2 book chapters. H index=9. She has collaborated in 4 European and 15 national or autonomic competitive projects. She is affiliated to CIBERSAM (Centro de investigación Biomédica en Red-Salud Mental) and to Biocruces Bizkaia Health Research Institute
