Graduated in Chemistry from the UPV / EHU in June 1987, having a doctorate in 1993 from the same University.
My teaching is focused mainly on subjects of Physical Chemistry and also on others related to the structural characterization of polymers. The subjects that I have been teaching last years are Experimental Methodology in Chemistry (1. Course) and Physical Chemistry I (2. Course).
My research has always been related to polymeric materials, especially polymer blends; the study of the transport properties of gases and vapours through polymeric materials oriented to their use packaging applications and, finally, the structural characterization of polymers by nuclear magnetic resonance. Given the high environmental impact of packaging, my research has recently focused on the study of biodegradable and/or fully chemically recyclable polymers. My research work is summarized in approximately 100 articles published in scientific journals, 4 doctoral theses, 7 Master's thesis and another 7 Degree’s thesis.
