Joana Jaureguizar is an associate professor in the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology of the Faculty of Education of Bilbao at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She has a degree in Psychology from the University of Deusto (1998), a degree in Educational Psychology from the UNED (2004) and a PhD in Psychology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (2002). She has two six-year periods of research. Her lines of research have revolved around emotional and behavioural problems in childhood and adolescence, more specifically, child depression and violent behaviour in adolescents (child-to-parent violence, violence towards teachers, between peers and dating violence). She has participated in 21 competitive research projects, which have generated publications in national and international journals: specifically, she is the author of 51 articles (31 indexed in WOS, of which 20 in Q1-Q2 journals), 5 complete books and 14 book chapters. She has made two research stays at the University of New Hampshire, USA. She has supervised three doctoral theses (one of them international).
She has directed and participated in 6l Teaching Innovation Projects (in two of them, as main researcher) and obtained the qualification of Excellent in the two calls for Docentiaz program.
She has been Director of the Teaching Evaluation Service (Vice-rectorate for Teaching Quality and Innovation) andi s currently in charge of the Master's Degree in Psychodidact
