Diploma in Social Education (2005), Graduate in Pedagogy (2011) and doctor in Educational Sciences (2019), he has been carrying out research and teaching work since 2013, the year in which he obtained the Grant for Training of Research Staff at the UPV/ EHU. Furthermore, in 2015 he completed the Master's Degree in Multilingualism in Education.
Prior to his path as a professor and researcher at the university, he has worked as a social educator in different services and programs of the municipal and territorial Social Services of Gipuzkoa.
In his doctoral process he has developed a line of research in the field of School Effectiveness and Improvement, through the development of his doctoral thesis entitled “Factors that contribute to the Effectiveness and Improvement of high and low secondary schools in the Basque Country. effectiveness”, directed by Juan Etxeberria.
He is currently a professor in the Department of Didactics and School Organization, he teaches in the degree of Social Education and Pedagogy and coordinates the Social Education Practicum. His research work is focused on two lines. On the one hand, (1) a first line aimed at the professional fields of action of Social Education and Social Services and another second line (2) directed at the Communities of Practice in Education, within the consolidated group of the UPV-EHU , ALHE.
