Ander Delgado is Associate Professor at the Department of Didactics of Mathematics, Experimental and Social Sciences at the Faculty of Education in Bilbao (UPV/EHU). PhD in Contemporary History from the UPV/EHU since 2006, focusing on the study of the politicisation in the Basque rural environment between the 19th and 20th centuries. Within this line of research, he has published several books and articles in journals such as Ayer, European History Quarterly, Journal of Social History and Historia y Política.

Once hired at the Faculty of Education of Bilbao (UPV/EHU) in 2011, he has been turning his studies to the field of the history of education, the didactics of social sciences and the analysis of the History curriculum in Spain during the democratic period. He is currently developing a line of research on political context, curriculum and history textbooks in the Basque Country during the democratic period. He has published works in journals such as History of Education, Journal of Educational Media, Memory, and Society, History Education Research Journal or Ayer. He has also edited the books A. Delgado and A. Rivera (eds.), ¿Qué saben de su historia nuestros jóvenes? Enseñanza de la historia e identidad nacional (Granada: Comares, 2018) or A. Delgado and A. Mycock (eds.), Conflicts in History Education in Europe. Political context, history teaching, and national identity (Charlotte: IAP, 2023).
