David Lindemann is a faculty member at Linguistics and Basque Studies Department, UPV/EHU.

In the framework of Basque Studies (Master, UPV/EHU), he chose to work on historical and contemporary Lexicography. While preparing his PhD entitled "Bilingual Lexicography: German-Basque, he got into in electronic and computational Lexicography, helped by a research stay at Institut Universitari de Lingüística Aplicada (IULA, UPF, Barcelona). He also familiarized himself with Corpus Linguistics, and semantic networks. He had a two-year postdoc at Information Science and Natural Language Processing Institut (Prof. Ulrich Heid, Universität Hildesheim, Germany), where he was introduced to methodology and teaching in the Digital Humanities domain, along with German (computational) Linguistics. He has worked and co-authored publications together with researchers affiliated to different institutions, auch as Elhuyar Fundation, Hildesheim and Heidelberg Universitites, Mannheim University Library, UPF (Barcelona), and also with colleagues from UPV/EHU. He is author of literary translations.

He now teaches German at UPV/EHUn, and is performing research in the framework of the DLTB research group.
