Graduate in Basque Philology, associate professor in the Department of Linguistics and Basque Studies of the Faculty of Arts at the Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea / University of the Basque Country, and doctor at the same university. Among the different subjects taught in different degrees and master's degrees, the following stand out: Didactics of the Basque language; Pragmatics and Discourse of the Basque language; Variations and Varieties of Language; Principles of Applied Linguistics II; Multilingualism and Teaching. Stays abroad: PhD at the Université Rennes 2-Haute Bretagne (1998-2000); Research stay at the Faculty of Psychology and Sciences of Education of the University of Geneva (2006-2007).

Participation in 17 research projects. Today she belongs to the consolidated research group of Teaching, acquisition and uses of the language. Basque, Spanish, bilingualism and multilingualism, and is a member of the laboratory ELEBILAB. Main research topics: linguistic and discursive study of oral language; multilingualism and language teaching, with special attention to minority languages. She has published two books; 9 book chapters; 8 scientific articles; 16 invited conferences; 27 communications in congresses. Collaborator in projects of the Sociolinguistics Cluster since 2017. She is a member of the UNESCO Chair of World Linguistic Heritage.
