I began my University teaching in 1995. During 1995-2014, I have participated teaching the subjects of Genetics and Cytogenetics and Human Genetics in the Degree of Medicine, at the School of Medicine and Dentistry. Since 2014, I am a lecturer at the School of Science and Technology and teach the subjects of Human Genetics and Genomics in the Degrees of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
Regarding post-graduate teaching, since 2014 I am responsible for the interuniversity master's degree Molecular Biology and Biomedicine and I am one of the lecturers in the courses “Omics: Experimental Designs and Data Analysis” and “Proteomikaren Oinarriak”.
In addition, I supervise graduate student projects in the Degree of Biology and the Degree of Biochemistry. I also supervise master student projects within the Master in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine.
I earned my PhD in 1999 at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/ EHU) with a study on the Genetic characterization of potato cyst nematode.
After my PhD, I did a postdoc at Netherlands Proteomics Centre (2004-05) and my work has been linked to the research line led by Dr. Ana Zubiaga, The Retinoblastoma/E2F pathway in regulating the cell cycle, led by Professor Ana Zubiaga.
