Linguistic mediation is the main function of translators, agents who facilitate understanding between people of different languages and cultures. Interpersonal and international relations improve substantially with their intervention, as correct, accurate and effective communication prevents misunderstandings and, in some cases, even conflicts.
The Degree in Translation and Interpreting will provide you with the specific techniques and methodologies to master the working languages in all types of communicative contexts and textual typologies. You will also acquire documentation skills and mechanisms for retrieving and evaluating information, using general and specialised dictionaries, creating glossaries, coining terms, and revising and correcting texts. All of this with the support of the most advanced software tools.
You can also specialise in the following specialisations or pathways: Interpreting, and Translation and Interpreting A1- A2. You will also be able to do voluntary external internships where you will learn about the profession through practice.
