AimsToggle Navigation

Know and identify the different levels of the automation pyramid by studying the basic concepts, elements, functions and techniques used in industrial automation and control systems.

Understand the properties and characteristics of the constituent elements of automatic systems in order to make a correct selection of them depending on the system to be automated.

Be able to recognize different types of signals and systems.

Understand and apply the techniques and tools for the study and analysis of industrial automatic systems.

Understand the characteristics and differences of analog and digital control systems.

MethodologyToggle Navigation

The MASTER classes will be used to present in a systematic, orderly and as complete manner as possible, the topics established in the subject program, as well as to resolve doubts raised by the students, seeking to stimulate their interest and increase their level of knowledge. learning.

CLASSROOM PRACTICES will be the necessary complement for the assimilation of the theoretical concepts acquired in the master class, through the practical development of practical cases. You will work in small groups, encouraging the use of active methodologies.

In the LABORATORY PRACTICES, through the use of appropriate hardware and software, different cases and practical problems will be developed and put into practice, seeking learning based on the resolution of automation problems.

Assessment systemsToggle Navigation

Continuous assessment

• Group Project Report: 30%

• Involvement and Competence in Group Work: 10%

• Laboratory attendance: mandatory

• Oral presentation of the report: mandatory

• Practical presentation in laboratory: mandatory

• Final exam: 60%

The final exam will be divided into a theory part with a weight of 40% and a problem with a weight of 60%. In order to be able to take the average between the exam and the group work, it will be necessary to obtain a grade greater than or equal to 4 in both the theory part and the problem.

Final evaluation

According to article 8.3, chapter II of the Regulations governing Student Evaluation in official Degree Degrees, any person who opts for the final evaluation system must submit in writing to the teaching staff responsible for the subject the waiver of continuous evaluation. , for which you will have a period of 9 weeks from the beginning of the subject.

In this case, the evaluation will consist of two tests that will be carried out on the same day of the official exam:

• Final exam: 60%

• Practical test in the laboratory: 40%

Both the final exam and the practical test will be divided into a theory part with a weight of 40% and a practical problem/exercise with a weight of 60%. In order to take the average between the exam and the practical test, it will be necessary to obtain a grade greater than or equal to 4 in both the theory parts and the problem and the practical test.

If the student does not take the Ordinary Call exam, the grade will be "NOT PRESENTED", regardless of his or her participation in the activities developed throughout the course.

The grade that the student obtains with the continuous evaluation will be maintained for the extraordinary call.

If there are students with disabilities, action will be taken in accordance with art. 68 of the UPV/EHU Statutes.

During the evaluation tests, the protocol on academic ethics and prevention of dishonest or fraudulent practices in the evaluation tests and in academic works at the UPV/EHU will be taken into account.
