Abbreviated CV
Bachelor's degree (2003) and PhD in Chemical Engineering (2008) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in 2010. My research career in the PROCAT-VARES group has focused on the development of processes for obtaining hydrogen, fuels, and petrochemicals from bio-oil derived from biomass waste. I have participated in 19 research projects funded at regional, national, and European levels, and I have been the Principal Investigator of a 3-year project funded by MICIU (2019-2022). I have also been involved in various knowledge transfer projects with multinational companies in the energy sector and technological centers in the Basque Country.
In terms of scientific production, I am a co-author of more than 60 publications (80 % in Q1 journals, 40 % first author, and 50 % corresponding author). I have presented over 110 contributions at national and international conferences. I have also collaborated with research groups from different countries, resulting in 10 publications to date. In other professional achievements, I would highlight my participation in scientific and organizing committees of several international conferences, as well as my experience as a member of the editorial board and guest editor in various scientific journals. Additionally, I have served as a member of six doctoral thesis evaluation committees.
Regarding my teaching experience, I have been a lecturer in the Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (UPV/EHU) from 2014 to 2017, and an assistant professor in postgraduate classes (Master's in Engineering and Sustainable Development) from 2008 to 2014. I have also supervised two doctoral theses and several Bachelor's Degree Final Projects, mentoring future researchers.
