Abbreviated CV
Chemical Engineer by the University of Valladolid (UVA, 2011), I completed the Master in Chemical Process Engineering and Sustainable Development at the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU 2012/2013). My research activity has been developed in the Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorization Group (PROCAT-VARES), as a predoctoral researcher from 2015 to 2019 and as a postdoctoral researcher from 2019 up to now (obtaining a postdoctoral fellowship [DOKBERRI 2019-II] at the UPV/EHU). Moreover, in 2025, I have been awarded with a Postdoctoral Junior Leader Fellowship funded by La Caixa Foundation.
My Thesis focused on the design of catalysts for hydrogen production from biomass pyrolysis and in line steam reforming process obtained the highest distinction ‘Cum Laude’ with International Mention and was recognized with the Extraordinary PhD Award. My research is mainly based on the valorization of waste (plastics, biomass, sewage sludge...) by pyrolysis and gasification in order to obtain fuels and products with high added value. This activity has led to 48 publications in JCR indexed journals (43 Q1 and 5 Q2), and 3 book chapters. These publications have been well accepted in the literature, receiving 1900 citations, having reached an h-index of 26 (Scopus). In addition, I participate in 12 Competitive Research Projects funded by the Basque Government, the Spanish Ministry and the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme.
