Bachelor of Science, Chemical Section, Specialty in Industrial Chemistry (UPV/EHU, 1999) and Bachelor in Science (Honours) (University of Strathclyde). PhD in Chemical Engineering (UPV/EHU, 2005). Nowadays, I hold a position as associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Pharmacy. I teach topics in Chemical Engineering in BSc in Food Science and Technology and in BSc in Environmental Sciences. Previously I have also taught others such as Chemical Reactors, Environmental Technology, and Process Instrumentation and Control in BSc in Chemical Engineering.

As member of the TQSAM research group, I have participated in twenty five research projects and more than thirty industry-university collaborations. My research is focused in the valorization of waste material and catalysis for energy. I am author of twenty five research papers (JCR), four non indexed papers, six educational publications and more than sixty contributions to congresses. I also collaborate as reviewer for several international journals.

I am also the second course coordinator in BSc in Food Science and Technology.
