Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of the Basque Country in 2005 and PhD in Chemical Engineering (UPV / EHU, 2010) obtaining the Extraordinary Doctorate Award.

My professional activity has always been developed at the UPV / EHU. In 2003 I joined the research group PROCAT-VARES of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the UPV, where I did my Doctoral Thesis. From 2010 to the present, I have combined the research and teaching activity, teaching classes both in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Environment of the EUITI of Bilbao (2013/2014) and in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV and in the department of Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Pharmacy, where I currently teach classes.

My research activity has focused on the development of thermo-catalytic processes for the valorisation of refinery waste streams through the sustainable production of automotive fuels and high value added products. I am co-author of 37 publications in prestigious indexed international journals, (29 Q1, 6 Q2, index h of 16) and I have more than 60 contributions to congresses.
