BsC in Chemical Engineering (UPV/EHU, 2009) and PhD in Chemical Engineering with international mention (UPV/EHU, 2013). In 2009 I joined Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorization (CPWV) research group to carry out my doctoral thesis. I did a predoctoral research stay at the University of Saskatchewan (Candada, july-november, 2019) under the supervision of Prof. Dalai, working on Fischer-Tropsch process. Between 2011 and 2015 I shared my research activities with a temporary teaching contract. In september 2016 I was hired as Assistant Professor and in August 2021, I got my permanent position as Associate Professor. Since 2019 I am the Coordinator of the External Practices and of the 3º course of Chemical Engineering Bachelor. I am also member of the Equality Committee.
My research work is focused on the production of added-value products, such as light olefins (ethylene and propylene), fuels (gasoline, jet fuel, diesel) and aromatics (benzene, toluene and xylenes) from sources alternative to oil (biomass, wastes and CO2 valorization). I have participated in 13 research projects, 60 national/international conferences. I am the coauthor of 18 publications indexed in JCR journals (h=11, WOS). Currently, I am supervising two PhD students and I am also coeditor of two Special Issues within Catalysts journal.
I have an extensive formation on pedagogical aspects. I have participated in two projects and 10 congresses related to innovation on education and I am also the coauthor of two publications in Education for Chemical Engineers. I supervise BsC and Msc final career works and I am mentor of EHUAlumni program.
