The International Year of Statistics (Statistics 2013) is a celebration and a worldwide recognition of the contributions of statistical science. Through the joint efforts of organizations around the world they tried to promote the importance of statistics in the scientific community, users of public and private data, the media, politicians, businessmen, students and the general public.
