Eduardo Ogando and Txema Mercero, technicians of the General Information Service (SGI) applied to the Research (Scientific Calculation) of the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) have taken part in the radio program Norteko Ferrokarrila, issued last Friday 9 Of June in the Basque public station Eusko Irratia.

In that program, Sgiker's two doctors have explained what supercomputing and High Performance Computing (HPC) are, as well as the different applications they have in the world of research. Hence, this SGIker service meets the computing needs of an important volume of users between the research staff of the university itself and also of researchers and technologists of entities and companies external to the Basque academic institution.
