Ikerbasque published Science Report of 2015 in the Basque Country that collects the main results of the Basque Country with regard to research population, financing of science, scientific results and technology transfer. Among the data collected we wanted to highlight the following:

• Basque scientific production has tripled in the last decade.
• In 2014 the barrier of 5,000 indexed publications was surpassed, which is allowing rapid convergence with the regions which occupy the top positions.
• The growth of scientific production has occured along with a greater international cooperation and maintaining the leadership of publications.
