Since its discovery and placing on the market back in the 70s, this herbicide is being widely used both in the use of extensive crops and for private use in orchards and urban areas. The authorization for its use by the EU member states, has been recently extended until 2022. The main producers of this herbicide wanted it to be for 15 years, the European Commission tried to do it for 10 before this last proposal and a strong social movement called for its immediate prohibition. The society, before this decision, asks if its use is safe and has no contraindications.
