The last week of the month of November SGIker training course has been developed once again, taught by SCAB technician Dr. Luis Bartolomé. Following the format of other years, researchers who have participated in this course of 30 hours have been able to deepen the theoretical knowledge of this technique of instrumental analysis and apply them in a more practical way in front of a GC / MS. As a novelty, the whole theoretical part was taught for the first time in the new SCAB house on the Bizkaia campus: The Martina Casiano platform building.

This year the participating researchers come from centers with a very transversal origin that perfectly represents the human potential in the R + D + i of our territory: Researchers from research centers such as CIC Energigune or the TECNALIA Foundation, PhD students from UPV/EHU, top-level laboratory technicians from the Elorrieta Erreka-Mari vocational training institute or project managers from the business sector (ORMAZABAL Corporate Technology).

In this edition, we have reached, once again, the maximum number of participants (8) with several researchers on the waiting list without being able to attend the course. For that reason and, in order to not have to wait a full year, the GC/MS course of the year 2019 will be taught in the month of May (within 6 months).
