First publication date: 26/10/2022
The technical, teaching and research staff of the State will gather at the 5th Meeting of Technical Staff and X-Ray Diffraction Service Managers that will take place in the Martina Casiano Building on the Bizkaia Campus between November 17 and 18, 2022.
The event, organized by the General Research Services (SGIker) aims to disseminate, learn, review and update technology in X-ray diffraction analysis. Around 40 professionals specialized in the aforementioned technique will visit the Leioa science park to share their knowledge on the latest technical-scientific advances in this area.
This edition has been planned in a two-day format, which will include round tables, short talks, as well as the most relevant information from the main related commercial houses.
At the meeting, aspects related to single crystal diffraction and polycrystalline sample diffraction will be reported. New configurations, data handling or sample preparation procedures will be covered in detail. In addition, a visit to the university services will be organized to show the infrastructure of the SGIker X-Ray Service.
This meeting will be possible thanks to the support of the SGIker of the UPV/EHU and the GE3C Specialized Crystallography Group. This last body is the promoter of these meetings and is attached to the Royal Society of Physics and Royal Society of Chemistry. There will also be financial, technical and scientific support from Paralab, Bruker, Malvern Panalytical and Antoon Paar, companies specialized in this type of technology.
