SGIker participates in the Summer Course of the UPV/EHU on "Evaluation of research activities and initiatives to support the researcher" (2016/09/26)

Maria Jose Rodriguez and Fatima Pastor, Unit Scientometry of the General Research Services (SGIker) have participated in the Summer Course of the UPV/EHU on the Evaluation of Research Activity organized by Euskampus and the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) in the Miramar Palace in Donostia, July 19th and 20th 2016, with a presentation on the organization and operation of the unit Scientometry.
In that event, presented by the rector of the UPV/EHU, Iñaki Goirizelaia, and Pedro Miguel Etxenike, chairman of DIPC, various issues related to the research evaluation and the bibliometrics contribution to this process were discussed. In the course, which had a high assistance, they took the word numerous speakers from foreign universities as Juan Gorraiz, University of Vienna, or Rodrigo Costas, of the University of Leiden (Netherlands); of rating agencies as Eva Ferreira, of UNIBASQ, and Julio Bravo ANEP; foundations of science, as Fernando Cossio of Ikerbasque, and Antonio Huerta ICREA; together with experts in bibliometrics from universities Carlos III of Madrid, as Elías Sanz Casado; that of Granada, as Daniel Torres Salinas and Evaristo Jiménez Contreras; of Vigo Domingo Docampo; of Navarra, Isabel Iribarren; of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, with Montserrat Hidalgo; and the UPV/EHU itself, in addition to technical SGIker, Marian Piñeiro, Deputy Director of Gipuzkoa Campus Library.
