IK4-TEKNIKER and the UPV / EHU organized the conference "The photonics industry: Technological Keys to illuminate business" in which applications and success stories related to the technologies of light in different sectors such as health, industry  or food industry will be presented.

The conference will open with a welcome from the Rector in function of the UPV / EHU,Fernando Plazaola,  and the General Director of IK4-TEKNIKER Alejandro Bengoa. After them the prominent speakers, Heinrich Grueger, from Fraunhofer IPMS and Javier Aizpurua from the Center for Materials Physics (CSIC-UPV / EHU)will speak.

Next it will be open a section about applications and concrete experiences in which specialists from IK4-TEKNIKER and the UPV/EHU provide information on success stories ,like the field of photonic biosensors for diagnostics in the health sector,  the laser in the processing of materials applied to macro and micro-processes, online monitoring solutions of fluids in the sectors of industry, food and health; random laser sources; special devices based on optical fibers; or sensors based on optical fiber. The event also presented scientific posters with various applications and patents in vision, metrology, coatings and manufacturing.
