First publication date: 13/11/2024
The Open Day of the X-Ray Service, Molecules and Materials Unit, was very well received by the research and technical staff who came to the Leioa Campus of the UPV/EHU to see in situ one of the most outstanding technological equipment of the General Research Services (SGIKer), the Micro Nano CT Tomograph.
The activity, held on Tuesday 12 November, managed to bring together 26 people from the field of research and teaching interested in the technical and analytical potential of the aforementioned tomograph. The event took place in two shifts, morning and afternoon, in the Martina Casiano Building, with the aim of keeping the groups small, achieving greater interaction between the audience and the speakers, as well as a visit to the technological equipment in optimal conditions to observe its operation live.
Among the objectives, according to the technical staff in charge, Leire San Felices and Aitor Larrañaga, was the possibility of broadening the vision of the technical capabilities and versatility of a computerized tomograph that has multiple applications in various areas of science, industry and Fine Arts.
This type of technical conference by the SGIker aims to contribute to the dissemination and knowledge of the high-tech equipment of the services available to the UPV/EHU for the promotion and development of research among the scientific community.
