BSN (2002), Master in Public Health (2011) and PhD cum laude from the University of the Basque Country (2013) in the Public Health programme. In addition, I have university training in Emergency Medicine, Health Management and Patient Safety.



I have worked in the area of emergencies, emergencies and rescue, working as clinical nurse in Osakidetza-Basque Health Service and Bilbao City Council. I have also collaborated with other organisations dedicated to the management of emergencies and rescue in the natural environment, and I have held the position of supervisor of Nursing Teaching, Research and Innovation in the Bilbao-Basurto Integrated Health Organisation (Osakidetza-Basque Health Service).



I am currently assistant to the Director of Nursing at the Santa Marina Hospital (Osakidetza-Basque Health Service), as well as associate lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing of the University of the Basque Country. I am also head of the "Clinical Nursing and Community Health" group at the Biocruces Bizkaia Health Research Institute.



I am interested in research in the field of health management and chronic and critical care, areas in which I have published more than 60 articles in scientific journals.
