NEKANE AZKONA ESTEFANIA

She graduated as a Telecommunication Engineer from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2005. In 2006, she joined the Institute of Microelectronic Technology (TiM) as a pre-doctoral scholarship holder, participating since then in different research projects funded by regional, state and European agencies. Her research, more generic in the training stage, has focused in the measurement and characterisation of photovoltaic solar cells. Is in this area that she developed her doctoral thesis “Desarrollo de técnicas experimentales para la caracterización de células de silicio cristalino a partir de su luminiscencia” (development of experimental techniques for the characterisation of crystalline silicon solar cells based on their luminescence). Regarding teaching, she belongs to the Department of Electronic Technology (former Department of Electronic and Telecommunications) since 2008, in the Bilbao School of Engineering. She has given lectures in Basque and Spanish; from the academic year 2019/2020 on, also in English.
