She obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering from the UPV/EHU in 2005 and a PhD in Microelectronics and Photovoltaics from the UPV/EHU in 2014. In 2004 she made a practical training of 14 months at IMEC (Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre), Leuven (Belgium), as a master thesis student on the project ‘Process development for selective removal of metals for advanced Salicidation formation’. In 2006 she joined the TiM as a pre-doctoral fellow, participating since then in different research projects funded by public entities at regional, national and European level. In 2014 she defended her doctoral thesis ‘Evaluation and study of anisotropic chemical processes in the industrial manufacture of solar cells’. Her current research work is framed within the scope of the Institute, both in solar cell research for terrestrial and space applications. He has published 30 technical papers, 2 patents and has recently published a chapter on ‘Alkaline Texturing’ in a book on Photovoltaics. In 2023 he started teaching at part-time in the degrees of Automotive Engineering and in the Double Degree in Business Administration and Management and in Computer Engineering of Management and Information Systems in the School of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
