He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. Since 1990, he has been a professor and researcher at the same University at the Department of Applied Economics I attached to the Faculty of Economics and Business of Donostia/San Sebastián.
Member of the Research group on Circular Economy, business performance and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals IT 1679-22, consolidated research group by the Basque Government.
Member of GEZKI-Institute of Cooperative Law and Social Economy of the UPV-EHU since 2016.
He has participated in several research projects, having also published several scientific articles and book chapters; his main topics of interest are sustainability, environmental management and standards and standardization processes.
Participant in the Ocean i3 International Educational Innovation Project of the Ocean Bordeaux-Euskampus Campus.
Lecturer of Mathematics of the Degree in Business Administration and Management. He also teaches "Organization and Administration of Social Economy Entities" ans "Applied economics" in the University Master's Degree in Social and Solidary Economy.
External evaluator and consultant. Long experience as university manager. Design and deployment of strategic planning projects.
Responsible for the Youth Entrepreneurship Program of the UPV / EHU.
Director of the Tecnalia Technology Aula on the Gipuzkoa Campus.
