Diploma in Social Work (1996), graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology (1998), specialist in Intercultural Education (1998) and expert in Gender and Development (2003) and in Feminist and Gender Studies (2009). Professional trajectory in international cooperation and education for development since 1990 and professor at the UPV / EHU since 2010. She teaches in several postgraduate degrees: "International Cooperation and Emancipating Education", Hegoa University Institute; "Management and Innovation in Social Services", UPV/EHU; Gender, Masculinity and Social Action ", UCM, UPV/EHU and CEPAIM; Universitary Expert in Suicide, UPV/EHU.

Member of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, and of the Research Group on Human Security, Local Human Development and International Cooperation (2016-2021) of the Basque University System (IT1037-16). She is currently doing her doctoral thesis on equality policies for women in contexts of armed conflict and paece building. Visiting PhD student at the National University of Colombia, Bogotá (2015), at the Consortium on Gender, Security and Human Rights Center of the University of Massachusetts, Boston (2017) and at the National University of Colombia-Caribbean Headquarters, San Andrés (2018).

Many contributions in international congresses. Her lines of research are: gender relations and policies in contexts of armed conflict and peace building, the body in policies and human rights and the methodology of service-learning.
