PATXI XABIER ARREGI IPARRAGIRRE

Xabier Arregi Iparragirre received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, in 1995. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Computer Languages and Systems Department at the same university where has been taught teaching subjects, both in the degree and master's degrees, associated to areas such as Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Web Development and Natural Language Processing.

He is member of the IXA research group of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (http://ixa.si.ehu.eus/) and of HiTZ: Basque Center for Language Technology (http://hitz.eus/). His research interests include the Lexical Semantics, the Computational Lexicography, Coreference Resolution, and applications of semantic processing to Information Retrieval and Question Answering. This research activity is focused to the Processing of Basque.
