Fine Arts Graduate (2008) and PhD (2016) by the UPV / EHU and extraordinary doctorate prize (2018) for his PhD dissertation, entitled Evolution, current state and perspectives of the design of the book cover: study particularly oriented to the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. He works as a Lecturer in the Drawing Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the UPV / EHU since 2015. In this center he held the positions of Academic Secretary (2016-2017) and Vice-Dean of University Extension (2017-2018). He teaches in the Creation and Design Bachelor Degree, as well as in the Master's Degree in Research and Creation in Art.
His research interests are focused on the fields of illustration, comics and book cover design in the Basque Country, having published articles on this area of editorial design in academic journals. He is member of the research group LAIDA, Literature and Identity.
