Oihana Garrro Larrañaga is a professor and researcher in the Department of Sculpture of the Faculty of Fine Arts. She defended in 2012 her Doctoral Thesis “On the construction of the subject and art. A reflection with Nan Goldin ” at the Faculty of Fine Arts in EHU/UPV. She obtained the Extraordinary Prize of Doctorate in Humanities (2014) with this research. She combines her artistic practice (she has presented the works Banabilazu, Urretue and Bisitarien Begiradas-Sahararren begiradak in recent years) with contemporary aesthetic research, being a member of the consolidated research group KREAREak_Creation in Art and Applied Aesthetics for City, Landscape and Community (IT1096-16-21. Category A by ANEP Evaluation/National Evaluation and Foresight Agency, Spain).
