Degree in Economic and Business Sciences, Quantitative specialty (1988) and Doctor in Economics from the UPV-EHU (2002). He has been a professor at this university since 1988 and his current category is Professor at the University School. He was also invited professor by the Chamber of Commerce and Bilbao in the Diploma of Marketing and Foreign Trade (2001-2008). He has taught Econometrics, Growth and Development, Introduction to Economics, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. And currently belongs to the Department of Industrial Economics, with headquarters in the Faculty of Economics and Business - Section Elcano. UPV-EHU.

He has developed his research activity in the input output tables and his involvement in the labor market. He has been a collaborator in research projects in the Department of Applied Economics I and is the author and co-author of publications and communications related to the subject of his doctoral thesis.

He has directed more than fifty TFG to date and tutorizes each course the internships in student companies. In the aspect of academic management he was deputy director of Economic Affairs and International Relations (1998-2000).

In recent years he has focused his dedication to develop teaching materials, some of them published in ocw, and to apply different educational methodologies. His current areas of interest, both in teaching and in research, are related to the labor market and inequality in the European environment.
