Bachelors degree and PhD in Psychology from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) with an extraordinary doctorate award. Lecturer in the Department of Evolutionary Psychology and Education at the Faculty of Education and Sport. Primary Education Degree Coordinator since the academic year 2018/19. Professor-tutor of the UNED University in the Degree in Psychology and in the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology. She has been a visiting scholar at the University of Nevada (AEB), Hasselt University (Belgium), University of Professional Teacher Education PABO Zwolle (Nederlans), and University of Setúbal (Portugal). She belongs to the consolidated research group Psikor (Group A of the Basque University System) and has participated in different national projects (UPV/EHU, MICINN-MINECO). She currently co-directs two doctoral theses and has co-authored several scientific articles, book chapters and contributions in national and international congresses. Her lines of research focus on resilience and psychosocial adjustment in adolescence, broadening the interest to the identification of the importance of contextual variables (peer support, parents, faculty) and intrapersonal variables (self-concept, emotional intelligence...) in adjustment and engagement. Before starting her academic career at the University, she worked as a psychologist in several areas, such as child maltreatment, substance abuse, and prison population.
