Cristina Perfecto received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2000 and her Ph.D degree (Honors, International Doctorate, Extraordinary Doctoral Award) in ICTs for Mobile Networks from UPV/EHU in 2019. She is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Communications Engineering at the UPV/EHU. In 2016, 2017 and 2018 she was a Visiting Researcher with the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC), University of Oulu, Finland. Her research interests lie on the use of millimeter wave (mmWave) communications for vehicular communications and for extended reality (XR) in 5G and beyond networks with a focus on the application therein of machine learning (ML) and computational intelligence (CI) techniques.
