Arantzazu Burgos is a permanent associate professor of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of the Basque Country. She has her BSc in Computer Science from the University of Deusto in 1991, Master’s in Robotic and Automation in 1992, Specialist in Industrial Computing in 1992 and Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of the Basque Country in 1997. Between 1992 and 1998, she worked at the Faculty of Engineering as coordinator of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Master. She was Vice-Dean of the Technical Engineering School from 1999 to 2004. Since 1992, she has worked as a researcher on different projects related to communications, industrial automation systems, software engineering and bioelectronics. In those fiels, she has authored and co-authored more than 60 technical papers in international journals, conference proceedings, book chapters and monographs. Since 2006, she has also been a member of the GCIS research group.
