Doctor in Chemical Sciences (UPV / EHU, 2005) and associate professor of the University in the Department of Organic Chemistry II of the UPV / EHU (2010). Her doctoral thesis in the stereocontrolled synthesis of isoquinolinic alkaloids under the direction of Dr. D. Badía and M.L. Carrillo opened a new line of research into stereoselective synthesis assisted by chiral β-aminoalcohols within the research group. Her research work has also focused on the stereoselective synthesis of isoquinoline alkaloids, in the synthesis of nonylphenols and in the study of the transesterification reaction in the synthesis of biodiesel. More recently she participates in projects related to environmental chemistry, specifically in the analysis of organic micropollutants. In addition, it currently participates in a project promoted by the Vice-Rectorate of Innovation, Social Commitment and Cultural Action, related to the waste generated in the teaching laboratories, in order to minimize their generation. She is currently directing several master's and end-of-degree projects.
