Description and Contextualization of the SubjectToggle Navigation

The subject "Safety and Legislation" is part of the module of subjects common to the Civil Branch of the Civil Engineering Degree. MethodologyToggle Navigation

In order for each student to acquire this knowledge, an active methodology based on problem solving will be applied. This implies that each student, individually or in groups depending on the task, will receive at the beginning of each session a challenge to solve. The last part of each session will be used to make a brief summary of the legislation they will need to solve the next challenge.

    • Written test to be taken (%): 70
    • Realization of Practical Work (exercises, cases or problems) (%): 10
    • Individual works (%): 10
    • Team projects (problem solving, project design)) (%): 10

Ordinary Call: Orientations and DisclaimerToggle Navigation

The evaluation of this course will be CONTINUOUS and will consist of:

1. PERFORMANCE OF INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP WORK AND AN INDIVIDUAL ORAL PRESENTATION: 30% of the grade of the subject. Failure to complete 1 of them or a grade lower than 5 points, will imply the renunciation of the continuous evaluation and therefore, to perform 100% of the final individual test.

2. Final individual test: 70% of the grade of the subject if the average of the controls is 5 or higher. 100% if all the controls have not been taken or if the required average has not been exceeded. . It will consist of a written test at the end of the term.

It will be an essential condition to pass the course to obtain a 5 out of 10 in the final written exam and a 5 out of 10 in the set of activities delivered. The final grade will be the sum of both parts with a weighting of 70/30.
