Master Degree in Civil Engineering (2001) and Master Degree in Infrastructure and Equipment Management (2012). He has worked as an engineer at Sestra Engineering and Architecture for a decade, involved in project design and technical assistance of urbanization and supply/sanitation works, mainly.

He works as a lecturer at the Bilbao Engineering Faculty since 2012, where he is coordinator for the third year of the Civil Engineering Degree since 2015. He is also coordinator/lecturer of the Resources and Hydraulic Installations Management subject, but also lecturer in Ports and Maritime Works subject.

His field of research is centered on the modelling of drainage/sanitation networks and the application of sustainable drainage techniques or SUDS, a field in which he has been working on his doctoral thesis since 2017.
