She is an Industrial Engineer (Electrical Specialty) in 1996 and PhD from the UPV/EHU in 2003. She is currently Aggregate Professor of the Electrical Engineering Department at the UPV/EHU where she teaches in the Degree in Electrical Engineering, the Master of Integration of Energies Renewable in the Electrical System and the Master in Control in Smartgrids and Distributed Generation. He teaches the subjects of Wind Generation and Grids Operation and Control. She is the co-author of 3 books on the basics of electrical circuits.
She is member of the research group Intelligent Systems and Energy (SI + E). Her research topics are smartgrids and renewable energies: study of the modeling and control of generators and wind farms, to analyze their integration in the distribution network and propose operation solutions both in normal situation and under disturbances.
She has participated in more than 24 research projects in competitive public calls and with companies. She is the co-director of a doctoral thesis, co-author of 12 articles in indexed journals, more than 40 papers at international congresses and 1 book chapter. Her research activity has been recognized with 2 periods of six years by the CNEAI.
