MIKEL ITURRATE MENDIETA

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering and PhD in Engineering Projects at the UPV/EHU. After more than 15 years of experience in different departments and companies in the industrial sector, he has been working as a lecturer and researcher at the UPV/EHU since 2015. Between 2015 and 2018 in the Department of Graphic Expression and Engineering Projects of the Bilbao Faculty of Engineering, between 2018 and 2021 in the Department of Business Organisation of the Gipuzkoa Faculty of Engineering and since 2021 in the Department of Graphic Expression and Engineering Projects of the Gipuzkoa Faculty of Engineering. He currently lectures in different engineering degrees and master's degrees.



In terms of research, he is a member of the DEHI (Dental engineering) research group (https://www.ehu.eus/en/web/dehi). This team works mainly on the integration of engineering tools and resources in dentistry. More specifically, most of his research work focuses on the area of Reverse Engineering applied to dental processes: analysis of the accuracy of digital processes and proposals for their improvement using reverse engineering tools. Within this line of research, he authored several articles published in journals of recognized impact, has participated in various scientific conferences both nationally and internationally and has been a member of several research projects.
