Izaskun Garrido has developed her career in an international and interdisciplinary environment, having worked several years at the University of Dundee (United Kingdom), the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (Germany), the Konrad-Zuse Institute of Berlin (Germany) and the Center for Integrated Petroleum Research (CIPR) of the University of Bergen (Norway), before returning to her home university in the Basque Country. She has already directed seven doctoral theses and is currently supervising four other ones, has one patent, over 200 publications in international books and journals, over 50 in journals within the JCR index (ISI), over 100 papers presented and published in proceedings of international well known conferences and congresses in the control area and is a regular reviewer of prestigious publications. Besides, she has been guest speaker in institutions such as Stanford, FU-Berlin (Free University of Berlin),Oberwolfach and Berkeley, and invited researcher in institutions such as ITER, LLNL, CIEMAT, JET (Joint European Torus, UK) and EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). Finally, in the accreditation as Profesor Pleno - Full Professor, it was given from the evaluation board of UNIBASQ the highest possible score both on research and on teaching.
