My main area of research is the applied control of dynamic systems and, in particular, the control of induction machines and their application to obtain renewable energy from the sea waves through the Control of Wave Power Generation Plants. I belong to the Automatic Control Group of the UPV/EHU, which has more than 25 articles published in prestigious international conferences of the area, book chapters and international journals. The importance of the contributions has borne fruit in a collaboration agreement between the University of the Basque Country and the Basque Energy Board, EVE, a dependent company on the Basque Government. This agreement has as its line of action the NEREIDA MOWC project, inaugurated in July 2011 in Mutriku. I have participated in more than 20 R & D projects funded in public calls and R & D contracts of special relevance with companies and / or administrations. I have recognized a six-year investigation period from the CNEAI and the accreditation of ANECA and the Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation of the Basque University System -UNIBASQ. I am currently lecturer in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering department at the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao, teaching Control of clean energy generation systems within the Master's Degree in Control Engineering, Automation and Robotics, whose objective is to provide students with knowledge and skills regarding Oscillating Water Columns (OWC) based Wave Power Generation Plants.
